A social meet-up app for doing fun things and meeting new people nearby.
Comence is an app designed to bring people closer together and share experiences. They can engage in fun activities and conversations, participate in app-generated gatherings and matches based on users interests and preferences. The goal is for the user to maintain their connections, but to also come back to the app to see what endless experiences await. You are only allowed to create one meet-up per day (unless you pay a premium), so that will also entice users to return to the app.
The main feature of this application is the app-generated social matching technique. This allows the user to break out of their comfort zone, or even curing their boredom, by choosing what you are in the mood for. This includes activities, food, playdates for parents with children, or anything new that you want to discover with someone. The user may also chose their radius - perfect for those who want to stay close to home.
Once the app matches you with a new friend, you then are able to click on the meet-up spot/event and it will attach to the invitation. The common interests are displayed below the event, and this will help eliminate any awkwardness or social anxiety, because they can act as conversation topics that you are both familiar with. Once you match, you are able to add the user. The exciting part about this is that you can avoid the indecisiveness, since the app chooses the activity for you (up to 2 choices).
