Shopping on Snapchat

Launching right before Black Friday, Shop & Cop was the first of it's kind for Snapchat. We created a smooth, yet exciting and quick online shopping experience for users. Snapchatters were able to stay in the app to buy products, thanks to our Shopify, so they were never redirected to external apps or websites.

 

We partnered up with brands such as Kylie Cosmetics and GymShark, and featured items ranging from apparel to home goods to beauty products.

The Challenge

Snapchat’s quick-changing nature presented a big challenge for brands because they can’t establish a permanent presence where potential customers can scroll through posts. Shop and Cop also took the ephemeral route by offering limited-time deals and other exclusive offers that expired after a short period of time.

User Research

Bright colors, repetitive geometric objects, abstract typography placement, and nostalgic 90s designs were trending during the time of this creative process.

Design Overview

The overall design theme for this project was "old computer pop-up aesthetic." Gen-Z has really been tapping into the 90's era all over social media, so I felt that this would appeal to them (and Millennials of course.) 

Product Pages

The goal for this design was to really pop out of the Discover feed and attract users and get them excited about the product. I created about a total of 10 different product page design templates that would rotate for each brand. 

Each page had a designated box for the price and product name, as well as the product image (some products used 2 images). 

Clients

We partnered with brands such as Kylie Cosmetics, GymShark, Beis Luggage, PopSockets, Barstool Sports, Smoko, Drake Tour Merch, and more.

 

Each channel was custom designed based on the brand specific colors. Because of this, we were able to successfully collaborate with each client.
